We are Colleen and Coral.

Harsh Weather grew from our personal reactions to the ways climate impacts are experienced collectively.

We are two people who - like many - have been in some form of ecological grief our entire lives. This work emerged from a series of questions.

In a world ravaged by the swiftly-increasing effects of climate change:

How do we parse the mundanity of our everyday interactions with the daily weather?

What is the space between frantic disaster and the slow stasis of picking up the pieces?

What can a queer perspective offerto this moment of crisis?

Harsh Weather by Coral Maloney and Colleen Arcturus MacIsaac, is the inaugural show as part of our new Presentation Series. The series will help us present more work throughout the year, support more Queer artists.

First presented as a work-in-development in 2025, first as part of Page1 Theatre’s OutFest (Atlantic Canada’s largest queer theatre festival) then at Kinetic Studio (a dance-focused open studio series) and finally in a visual art context at ARTSPlace gallery.
