Join us at the OutFest Comedy Stage. Featuring headliner Clare Belford, and numerous local and regional comics. There will be select VIP tables for those who want to be close to all the action. But no matter where you sit, you are definitely going to laugh.
LINEUP
Clare Belford (headline) is a comedian and a nice person. Hailing from northern Alberta, she cut her teeth early on by forcibly telling deeply personal jokes about womanhood to drunk tradesmen. Nowadays she is a veritable fixture of Canadian comedy.
Clare has performed at festivals like Just For Laughs, the New York Comedy Festival, theHalifax Comedy Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and she appears on CBC Gem’s New Wave of Stand Up. She writes for and has appeared on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and her album, The Entire Cabbage, plays regularly on Sirius XM. It was also named one of the Best of 2021 by Bullseye on NPR.
Abhishek Bhuchar (host) is a local Halifax brown stand-up comic who's been hitting stages sharing stories and jokes about his ridiculous life. He has become a regular at comedy clubs and open mics, with his witty, charming, and fun dark humor (with a massive hint of self-deprecation). His storytelling prowess will take you on a journey to laughter. Whether he’s talking about his brown heritage, attempts at dating or goals of being a trophy husband, he has something that resonates with anyone.
Abhishek most recently appeared in the HubCap Comedy Festival, as one of the finalists in the Open-Mic competition. He has had the opportunity to perform in Halifax, Toronto and in the Halifax Fringe Festival.
Tamara Appleton is a Canadian comedian living in Paris with over 10 years of experience performing Standup and Improv. Known for her manic energy and silly storytelling, she has captivated audiences across multiple continents. She has showcased for JFL in Toronto, performed for “Dont Tell” in Paris and “Top Secret” in London.
In 2023, she released her first comedy album, “Get Beefed”. And will be debuting her comedy show “Comedy Party with Tamara and Celine” at the Edinburgh Fringe in the summer of 2025.
